Bookends made of metal, to support books at an angle that makes it easy to read the titles printed on their spines. The bookend is inserted in a concealed manner within the first book being supported, next to its binding (a hard binding is desirable). The book appears to be suspended in mid-air, almost collapsing on the figures at the base of the bookend.
There are two models to choose from: two figures escaping from a pile of books toppling over them, or a figure with hands outstretched in a defensive posture.
